Vintage Hammond transformers provide the foundation for a bold, powerful tone, while the original Hammond phase inverter circuit lends a characteristic crunch, rich in harmonic content. We’ve designed a tone-stack (based on an old Fender Deluxe) for a warm voicing with all the right frequencies that your ears love to hear. We’ve optimized the circuit and design to minimize unwanted hum and noise that is so commonly associated with vintage amplifiers.
The SARGE is housed in a heavy-duty aluminum enclosure that is both durable and lightweight with a removable lid. This portable road case formerly housed now-obsolete scientific equipment. The faceplates are vintage embossed signs made from tin.
