Analog Outfitters is specialized in custom modifications of vintage amplifiers. Here is an example of an amp we modded recently. It is based on our own custom design that maximizes the potential of this amp. On the clean channel, we have modded the circuitry to match the pre-CBS era Fender Blackface models. On the second channel, we have taken out the vibrato circuit and allowed it to add an additional gain stage, making this amp really loud and punchy. We have also added our own design, which is a 6 position switch that inserts one of 6 different capacitors into the cathode circuit of the drive tube. Each capacitor imparts its own tonal variations allowing the user to have even more flexibility with their sound. It sounds amazing! The idea was to have an original Fender sound, a vintage Blackface sound, and an old Marshall tube amp all in one box.
